It Is Called "Competency"

Going against the grain of only talking about the bad news of the day, link on over to this post at the Georgia Sports Blog. A good idea, competently administered, doing a world of good in its own purview.

And this is why Damon Evans is the best thing that could have happened to UGA...he might even be able to overthrow some of the Adams stupidity.

Pat Summit of Lady Vols fame is very strict with her players on academics. Miss one class and you're disciplined.

The results are well known, including 7 NCAA championships. She has a 100% graduation rate for player who complete their 4 year eligibility, also.

Damon Evans policy will help UGA, not hurt it. Bravo for him! Hopefully, other schools will follow his example.

i think what is f'd up about that article is that dude was able to miss that class he mentioned 40 times and still made a "B." perhaps someone should be looking into that...
