War on Christmas Comes Early
Like most obnoxious marketing and advertising campaigns, the right wing patented WAR ON CHRISTMAS(tm) rollout doesn't wait until after Thanksgiving, either.

I have to admit to some hypocrisy. As much as I have lampooned the animus shown towards holiday phrases which do not involve the word "Christmas", I did notice the October 31 "Candy Fest" held by the local Baptist megachurch and took umbrage at its lack of reference to Halloween.
Oh, you know how those old Pagan-Inspired Catholic holidays rankle.
What's really ironic is that one of the more pagan-inspired traditions to be co-opted is the Christmas tree.
And yet the hypocrisy remains.
